MvC3 Protip #1: Snap In!

Hello there folks! I wanted to share some general MvC3 advice to the people out there that are stumped or reached their limit in this game. I would like to say first thing is first, have no limits. We all have moments where we feel that we as competitive players just can not get any better than we already are. That’s loser talk. Once you put a limit on how much you can improve, you just pretty much said I want to say average. Break that!

Now on to my topic: Snap ins.

Now in mvc3 most people only go for snap ins when they see Pheonix, while this is the best way to deal with her it can be applied to non-Phoenix matchups. Lets say you’re in a tough match, you just lost the first match. You notice that your opponant’s team anchor is their strongest character. Now instead of waiting for the final character showdown just snap them in and get the free 50/50 mix up. Sometimes that character isn’t really their strongest or best on the team, but they are the glue that keeps the other two together, snap them in!

Snapping in isn’t free, you’re losing one bar from your hyper meter to get rid of a problem character. Meter management is very important, especially in mvc3. You do not want to take a risk of snapping in with less than 1.5 bars. Honestly it’s a judgement call on your part. But you must play it smart, know when you need to take risks and when not to. When you have a problem character, get rid of it.
