Avengers vs X-Men preview Uncanny X-Men vol. 2 #4 Scarlet Spider #2 New 52 Batman #4 New 52 Batman #5 New 52 Batman Beyond Unlimited #1 (not shown, read below) So this is what I ended up leaving the comic book shop with, and yes… that is NOT what I posted on my list earlier. Ok, so check this out. I get to the shop, expecting a shit load of people to be there. On a Wednesday when a huge comic book is about to be on the shelves I know people are in the shop talking about it and just being social. But tonight was different, the store was bare. There were at least 7 people in the shop including myself… from the normal 20 or so. I figured, “Lucky me!” My intentions were to just simply get three books all DC since they are actually $1 cheaper than Marvel. I look up and down the shelves just scanning for Batman Beyond Unlimited. Brand new books like that are usually on the spotlight but I saw nothing, just fucking Batman and Robin, fucking Batgirl, and some other Bat-related shit (Nightwing, Batwoman, Dark Knight, ect) and I’m like, “Da fuck?” I figured they sold all out, but damn that fast?! Fuck my life I have to buy something while I am here. Don’t want to leave empty handed since I just missed my bus and it’s freezing outside. So I picked up Uncanny X-Men first because I need to catch up on this series, then went for Red Hood and the Outlaws and guess what? ALL SOLD OUT. FUCKING SHIT MAN!  So onto the next series on my list, Batman. I missed so much of Batman. I haven’t bought much due to the fact that every time I go to the shop there are NO BATMAN #4s’. Pfft fuck that, I learned my lesson from buying Fear Itself Spider-Man #1 and #3 and missing #2, that shit sucks balls so I’m glad I waited for Batman #4 so I picked up #5 with it. So now I’m one or two issues behind.  Scarlet Spider, now I did NOT get #1 for a good reason. Marvel comics already cost too fucking much for so little. I love Kaine and his new take on Houston but I was not going to fork over $5 for a #1. No fucking way… at least not now I’m not. Maybe once I get my Evo2K money, and have some left over I will get the 2nd printing (all the 1st editions are gone, oh well.) But I heard so many great things about it, I just had to get it!  Thanks to Vintageslang (another comic book lover!) she told me about that free preview to Avengers vs X-Men and I saw that shit on the counter and just nabbed it! Plus got another free coaster! YAY!  So where is that Batman Beyond at? Ok, the dude behind the counter asked if I was doing alright and I pretty much said, “No man, I came for Batman Beyond and it’s all gone. My night is ruined.” Dude was like, “Don’t worry bro, I got you.” Phoned up the other shop (they have two shops here in the valley) and pretty much made a transfer. I come in tomorrow afternoon and pick my copy up almost like a pre-order yet this makes more sense because the book is pretty much sold the fuck out everywhere.  All in all, I spent too much money. Came for two books, got like 6 for $20. Ouch.  x.x
